The Tippah County Historical and Genealogical Society was founded on December 15, 1975 by Bill Gurney, Don Martini, Oleta Rutherford, and Martha Braddock. The Society was organized for the purpose of researching all facets of history pertaining to Tippah County and its people.  TCH&GS meets at Noon on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the Shirley's Restaurant. All persons are invited to attend. Membership is $20 annually for individuals and $30 for couples.
