Show Host Melinda Marsalis talks with Charlette Foster about all the excitement of the 4th of July Celebration at The Historic Jacinto Courthouse in Alcorn County. While there is always a Political Speaking, this year's event has candidates from all over the state attending to tell where they stand on the issues concerning our local citizens. Politicians are invited to set up a tent to meet citizens. The fee for Speakers, Tent Set-Ups, and all Vendors is $25 per registration. Beginning at 9 a.m. and rounding out somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 p.m., the Political Speaking at the Historic Jacinto Courthouse will have Bluegrass music in the Old Jacinto Schoolhouse ALL day, a Silent Auction, Arts and Crafts Vendors; Woodworking, Metal, and Jewelry Artists; Food Vendors and Food Trucks; and food cooked over an open fire by the Veterans of the Crossroads Chuck Wagon Crew. There will also be bouncy houses for the kids, plus fans and water sprinklers to help combat the heat. If you have an interest in historic places or politics, get your favorite lawn chair ready and make plans to come to the Historic Jacinto Courthouse on the 4th of July, 2023. For more information and updates on who will be speaking, go to "The Jacinto Foundation" on Facebook.
