Founded as a women's college in 1873, the college's board of trustees voted for the college to go fully co-educational in 2005.     

This Week: Roy Turner is the Elvis Presley Birthplace Museum Executive Director in Tupelo, MS.  Mr. Turner describes the grounds of the museum including the house, church, chapel, museum, event center, theatre, gift shop and walking trail.  Elvis brings over 60,000 fans to Tupelo annually for tours of the museum and for events like The Elvis Festival in June, The Blue Suede Cruise in April and Dancing With The King in October.  The Elvis Festival includes an EPE sanctioned tribute artist contest at the Bancorp South Arena.
